ABOUT US – OUR HISTORY

Autodrive to Witham Brothers Ltd.
In 1971, Autodrive was a company started by two men – originally as a car rental firm. After a short time they were asked for vans, then vans with drivers. Within two years, the demand for vans with drivers was so great that Autodrive turned from being a car rental company to a removals company and the vans were swapped for lorries.

Over a short period the company became very popular and well established, and gained the respect of local estate agents and solicitors alike, resulting in Autodrive going from strength to strength right up until the late 80's when the housing market suffered its biggest blow ever.

At this stage the Witham Brothers bought the company to amalgamate it with their also suffering overseas removals company. By running the two companies side by side and together with tightening belts and good business plans, the company survived the recession and is now flourishing as a modern efficient family firm. Being members of the British Association of Removals ensures our customers of our best service at all times.
